Focus work
Students in the Department of Architecture can write a focus work in sociology. The prerequisite for this is prior attendance of an elective course in sociology. A period of one semester is required for a focus work in sociology, from the selection of the topic to the submission.
Focus works are written seminar papers that are based on the criteria of scientific work in the social sciences. They should meet the standards applicable to the social sciences. In order to achieve this goal, students receive expert guidance and supervision in their work. In addition to examining the content, one of the learning objectives of the thesis is for students to practise writing an academic text correctly in terms of structure, form, coherence of content and academic validity.
