Possible Urban Worlds: Urban Strategies at the End of the 20th Century

Some of today’s most inspiring urban action groups and leading urban scholars present a unique compilation of practical experiences and theoretical analyses of today‘s most pressing urban issues.

This book is the result of an international debate about new concepts of local action and new ideas for solidary, democratic and sustainable urban worlds, which has been going on for eight years within the framework of the International Network for Urban Research and Action.

Most of the contributions were presented at the 7th INURA conference “Possible Urban Worlds” in Zurich, June 16–18, 1997.
