Dr. Rahel Nüssli

Rahel Nüss­li stu­di­ed Geo­gra­phy (focus in human, poli­ti­cal and eco­no­mic geo­gra­phy) and Poli­ti­cal Sci­en­ces at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich. From 2010 to 2019, she work­ed as a rese­arch assistant at the Chair of Socio­lo­gy at the Depart­ment of Archi­tec­tu­re, ETH Zurich. She taught in various for­mats in the bache­lor’s and mas­ter’s pro­gram­mes at the Depart­ment of Archi­tec­tu­re, and she con­duc­ted rese­arch on the pro­ject Urban Poten­ti­als and Stra­te­gies in Metro­po­li­tan Ter­ri­to­ries — at the Exam­p­le of the Zurich Metro­po­li­tan Area(as part of the Natio­nal Rese­arch Pro­gram­me NFP 65 New Urban Qua­li­ty). Her dis­ser­ta­ti­on, which she com­ple­ted in 2018, also focu­sed on this topic, with con­tri­bu­ti­ons on urba­ni­sa­ti­on poli­ci­es in Zurich North and Aus­ser­schwyzas well as the Asso­cia­ti­on of the Metro­po­li­tan Regi­on Zurich.
